What happens during a session?

We will reserve some time for you each week (typically 2 hours, unless we are working virtually) . We work alongside you the entire time. First we will look at the space that needs help and then discuss what you like and don't like about your space. We will access your space, challenges, and ideas to come up with a plan that feels right for you. During our time together we will merge, perge, donate and throw away items that no longer feel represent you during this time in your life. We will coach you through the tough decisions that will come up during the process.

How many hours will it take to organize my space(s)?

It depends on the size of the room and its current state and motivation level. We work for a 2 hour time period and during this time we could complete a small space such as a closet, kitchen cabinets or entryway. Larger more complex areas like basement, attics or heavily cluttered areas could take much longer to complete. If the client is open to homework assignments between sessions this could speed up the process.

Can my kids be home during the sessions?

Yes, but remember that very young kids may slow us down and you are paying for this special time with a professional organizer. We recommend having a babysitter in place for our sessions. If we are organizing a child's room they should be there to give their input and help with the process.

My whole house needs organizing, where do I start?

Every situation is different and every client unique; this might depend on where you feel the most stress. Or a part of the house that is most critical or most frequently used may be the best place to start. For example if the kitchen is the hub of your house where you eat, entertain, pay bills, help the kids with homework this might take more of a priority then say the living room where you are just watching tv and lounging.
